Alternate title for my family: "Shitter was full!"

Should we name this thing the Prairie Smile Wagon? (Shoutout to Dan Luckey for the suggestion via ChatGPT.)

Spoiler: we ended up at Applebee's again.

After getting back from Honduras and settling in, the real fun came. It was time to empty our gray and black tanks. The gray tank holds water from the sinks and shower, whereas the black tank is waste from the toilet. For us, our gray tanks hold 160 gallons, and our black tank holds 50. We had gone about 4 weeks without emptying because of our galavanting, and our tanks were finally full.

We'll start with the good note: we're getting pretty good at hitching the Prairie Smile Wagon up. We're less good at backing the Prairie Smile Wagon up, but we're improving.

What we're not good at: having all the materials we need to dump raw sewage and remembering that gravity is a helper.

Our journey actually started out at Lowes then Tractor Supply (our new favorite store) to buy a sewage hose. To no one's surprise, we also ended up buying a bunch of other stuff. Like a new toilet seat. And gourmet hot dogs.

We got back, gave ourselves a pep talk, and backed up the hill so we could empty our tanks. The angle was a little bit off, so instead of our sewage flowing nicely down the hill in the sewage tube, there had to be a manual assist of dumpage due to a small incline before reaching the dump site. *sigh* but actually *explicatives*.

(To clarify -- no, Chad is not manually holding the hose to dump the sewage -- this was emptying the now-sanitized fresh water tank which comes out of a different line.)

Eight frustrating, sunny hours later, we were done. Tanks were empty, water lines were clean, jack system reset, and Chad and Amy were still somehow alive. And ready to smash some Applebee's. Huge bonus: dollaritas were available and I had a coupon from filling out a survey.

We are so #blessed.
